In case you haven't noticed, I'm not going to update this site very often. The place you want to go is my Flickr page. I'm uploading a jillion pictures of the baby -- make sure to click the "Next" link at the bottom of my Flickr page to see the older photos.

The Wildcats hadn't been a player in the NCAA tournament since Lefty Driesell led them to two regional finals in the 1960s. Georgetown could only look on, stunned at its second-round exit a year after reaching the Final Four under coach John Thompson III.

I have been extremely remiss in not posting for over a month ... I missed my birthday, baby's birthday, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's. The baby is walking (mostly), talking (a handful of words), and even doing some baby signs with me.

Well, you can see the photos on Flickr. What's not documented is the string of illnesses we've been suffering from since early November (thank you daycare). Hope you and yours are happy and healthy in the New Year!

Flickr just added a very cool, very extensive Places feature. You can search for your hometown, or anyplace, to find photos.

I'm not sure how it works but I come up as one of two "Featured Photographers" on the Bamako, Mali Places page. I suspect it's an automatic thing, perhaps calculated by the number of photos one has on Flickr that are geotagged from a particular place. I think after a couple years of taking pictures in Bamako and posting them on Flickr I might have outdone anyone else!

Baby and I met Grandma at Stride Rite yesterday and picked out his first pair of shoes (size 4 1/2 extra-wide, awwwww). Now I can finally let him stand on the ground at the park.
