Since I read her short story collection Not the End of the World, this author has been a favorite of mine. So when I saw that a new book featuring Jackson Brodie is coming out this fall, I thought I better hurry up and read Case Histories, which I hadn't yet. It is sort of a mystery, or rather three mysteries, that Brodie is trying to solve. Yet it is much more about sisters, and fathers and daughters, and as such is more complex and poignant and heart-rending.
