The first thing I've read by this author, although I saw Fight Club when it came out. I don't know what I was expecting, but I think I was expecting (based on the Fight Club movie) some kind of macho, brutish, anti-emotional writing. So I was quite surprised, and quite liked this strange, vivid, emotional story.
