I was curious about this book because a) this is a question I ask myself a lot and b) I enjoy voyeuristic peeks into other peoples' lives.
Po's writing style (he and his marketing materials insist on referring to him by his first name, so I will too) is casual, which is suitable to the subject matter at hand but sometimes distracting. E.g., he describes one woman's job as "sorta like mine." Huh? "Sort of" would have been sloppy enough, but what editor let that through?
Anyway. The stories told are not of the simple, dramatic, total solution, as you might expect. The changes these people make are usually incremental, building on hobbies or interests or gut feelings that have been nurtured for years. In some cases, it's not even sure that the person has made the right decision.
This is an interesting topic for me but my thoughts aren't organized enough to write about it yet ... I'll try to add to this later.
