All Tomorrow's Parties (William Gibson)
November 28, 2004

This was a one-day read, all day Sunday on one couch. My husband was on the other couch reading Pride and Prejudice for the second time, and he finished in one day too.

I want to like William Gibson. I enjoy his writing as I'm reading it. But when I finish his books, I can't help feeling that I'm missing something -- or that something is missing from them. I feel like an intricate, elaborate scene is laid and then all the threads just fizzle out, inadequately explained. Is it just me?
