Lately the baby's favorite thing to do is crawl around, picking up and throwing down toys. He'll take one toy (his ball, a cup) all over the house this way.
But today I noticed he was drawn to pairs of identical or similar things: a set of orange rubber teethers (the letter P and the letter Q), two paper towel tubes, two blue socks. He did his usual pick up, throw down, pick up, throw down, etc., but he alternated between the two items. He would play like this for 10 minutes or more, which in baby time is like, fourteen years or something.
He played with almost nothing else today, except some books, which he hasn't looked at in a while.
