I should have known better than to be all smug about how well everything is going (at the end of last post). Basically, as soon as I hit "save" on that last entry, things started going downhill. Over the weekend we had several major meltdowns with inconsolable crying, one rectal-temperature-taking, and two doses of Tylenol Infant Drops. Lesson: Never be overly confident about how well things are going with your baby. Never. You will be humbled.

We had another major meltdown yesterday, which I think was not a side effect of the shots but rather a side effect of not having an afternoon nap. Napping has been a bit of a challenge but I'll write about that another day.

Morning naps, though, we got 'em down cold. For the last five days he has taken a nice long morning nap in his swing, two hours or more ... Not that I'm taking anything for granted, of course ..
