The last action-packed week is over. I had a final day in Washington, with lunch on Capitol Hill (sort of -- I was 20 minutes late and didn't get to eat), exhibits at the Hirshhorn, happy hour at Bedrock Billiards, and Modest Mouse at Constitution Hall. (I thought I felt old at the Pixies show, but I had no idea; at Modest Mouse I felt like an extra on the set of The O.C. Sort of like Aunt Haley, only not as cool and free-spirited.)
Then two days in Chestertown, Maryland.
For Father's Day, we went to a Frederick Keys game at Harry Grove Stadium. The Keys (the Orioles farm team) played the Washington Nationals' farm team. Keys won, 2-1.
Fireworks after the 12-inning game.
Hard to believe that in 36 hours or so I'll be home in Bamako.
