Six Hours to 2005
December 31, 2004

I feel like I should summarize the past year in a pithy way, or announce some resolutions for the coming one, but honestly, I've had a spectacularly lazy day (having only arrived home from the US last night) and I'd hate to ruin it by doing anything productive. So, here's what I can say about 2004 without having to think too much or move my ass off the couch:

Milestones celebrated: my 32nd birthday, our 1st wedding anniversary
Countries visited: 4 (US, Mali, Madagascar, Senegal)
SkyMiles® accumulated: 44,000+
Books finished: 36
Pictures taken with my new Digital Rebel: 797
Posts to this website: 53 (including this one)

As the wise man says in one of the greatest movies ever: That'll do, pig.

See you next year.

How many times did you puke in 2004? ;)

Dad: Babe.

Pat: Funny you should mention that ... I was going to put "milligrams of Ciproflaxin ingested" but since so many of them were intravenous, I couldn't begin to count them.

But I do remember this:

Flights on which I was bumped up to business class: 3

We flew back to Bamako in style!
