state of my Honda
January 30, 2002

Took my poor car into Petrovich this morning. It was sideswiped Monday morning, but lucky lucky! for me there was a witness who left a note with the tag number . . . Meanwhile Pedro & Paolo will set about reattaching my bumper. And I haven't gotten into work before 10 yet this week.

I don't have anything to say about this except that all that talk of good vs. evil reminds me to get back to my book. Yes, I'm still reading The Return of the King, and I don't have the momentum that I had while reading the Two Towers.

On deck: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay (Michael Chabon), and a new translation of Anna Karenina. And the New Yorker just keeps coming and coming . . .
