- Great Expectations: The Ethan Hawke/Gwyneth Paltrow version. It will entertain you, and jog your faint, junior high school memories of Dickens. Hawke's acting, however, will disappoint. The director has a new movie out, Y Tu Mama Tambien.
- Abre Los Ojos ("Open Your Eyes"): The original movie of which Vanilla Sky is a remake. It is creepy and features multiple plot twists and Penelope Cruz. Drama, romance, thriller, sci-fi -- I described it that way last night, and I see official confirmation of that multi-genre classification on IMDB.
