ooops

Accidentally deleted my reading list from the books page. Oh well. I just picked up a few new ones anyway. I got them from the Cleveland Park branch of the DC public library, which is kinda funny, because I now have borrowing privileges from the world's largest public library. Extended only to members of Congress and humble library staff, thank you very much.

The Grand Complication, by Allen Kurzweil. The author spoke at the Library recently (watch a video of the lecture). (update: review on books page)

Rouse Up O Young Men of the New Age! by Kenzaburo Oe. I heard of it yesterday in a thirdhand way from caterina.net; Caterina reviewed the Guardian review of the book. (update: never got around to reading it and it's due back tomorrow)

The Mighty Golem's Swing, by James Sturm. A graphic novel about a fictional Jewish baseball team, which I never would have heard of if not for Ben. (update: review on books page)

Speaking of Ben, he's gone and updated his site. Check out his newest project, The Georgia Peach. It's the second of four Georgia folktales he's illustrating in sequential art (that's comic books for you philistines). This one's about Ty Cobb; the first was the Legend of the Coon Monkey.
