I mentioned a while ago that I'm working on a new site. Note: It will eventually replace this one. However, I'm currently struggling with a few ideas that don't get along: creating a table-less layout with CSS positioning; using the cool (blue) design I've come up with; and ensuring that the layout looks reasonably similar on all browsers that support CSS. But the difference in the way IE and Opera 5 interpret the positioning in my design is causing me great pain . . . when I bother to sit down and wrestle with it. (Eric Costello and Rob Chandanais have found, explained, and employed a workaround for this issue, but as soon as I tweak their stylesheets, everything breaks. Sigh.)

Today's executive decision: I'd rather get something up soon, even if it's not my dream design, than fiddle around forever with this problematic layout. I'm going to work on a simplified concept. Stay tuned to hear when American Robin is up and running.
