As I sat at in the window at Angles last night, watching people -- an activity whose rewards are definitely diminished by the cold -- I noticed that the Compliment Man's traditional corner was empty. I've only seen him out on Friday and Saturday nights, and it was Thursday, so I forgot about it until this morning when, over a bowl of cereal, I read last week's City Paper. A tiny City Desk item caught my eye: The Compliment Man, a.k.a. Ron Miller, has left Adams Morgan for a job at a Publix grocery store in Florida. Goodbye, Compliment Man, and good luck. (And by the way, I love those shoes!)
