Jae's New Haven shower

Heather and I visited our friend Jae for a weekend for her bridal shower and b@chelorette party.

This is where Jae manages the Arts of the Book and other collections, off the plaza formerly known as High Street.

Nirvana

We gave Jae a CD shower at Nirvana, an Indian restaurant downtown. Heather gave Jae Lucinda Williams' Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, which, to Corey's chagrin, we listened to at length on New Year's Eve. Heather also made Jae a special mix of "Country Music That Doesn't Suck." We drifted slowly into food comas from two rounds at the buffet.

The day after the shower was a beautiful, crisp New England day. Jae's house is the one with the yellow exterior and colorful kitchen. The others are "painted ladies" I liked—Victorian houses trimmed in several bright colors.
